In western/european countries it's the norm to wipe with toilet paper. In asian countries it's the norm to wash with water. I asumme this is because there is a lot more production in places like America that allow for the use of toilet paper while it's easier for asian countries with a larger population to use water. Don't knock a bidet until you've tried it. When I lived overseas we used them regularly. Wiping with tissue sometimes is like spilling juice and wiping it with only a dry paper towel. You got up the obvious juice spill but didn't follow through with a moist cloth or anything to get up the sticky residue. Try it. It'll change your asshole.   reply
