This election wasn't ever Biden versus Trump. This election ended for the Democratic establishment after Biden "won" the primary.
They don't care if Biden wins, they're more than happy to lose to Trump a million times over if it means things like M4A, substantial minimum wage increases, higher taxes for the wealthy, etc. etc. never get enacted.
