When I was younger I thought that caucasian was another word for Asian because it had “Asian” in it. But I never wished I was white, I wished I was Mexican. I lived in a predominantly Spanish speaking community and I was the only Asian in my grade. The boys in my grade would use racist slurs and that caused me to have an identity crisis.
