Definitely can see where you're coming from. Went to a Catholic elementary + middle school filled with people who thought they were better than everyone else. My friend group was always being mocked at for liking "cringey Japanese shows". Then in eighth grade, they all coming over to us talking about some shows like Naruto, One Piece, and Seven Dea......
