My neighbor is marrying off his 12 y/o girl to a 26 y/o dude

I'm currently in the city , this is happening in my village where my dad is from. We're invited.This is supposed to be ILLEGAL in my country but apparently the dude is some religious preacher so whatever is happening is holy. If I inform the police they'll marry me off to a tree (that shit happens here to whoever who goes against the gram Panchayat) and my parents will discontinue my education. The horrors of living in a 3rd world country. The marriage is in four days.
