it is absolutely disgusting on why people are being xenophobic toward Asians. Ofc this was a problem that has been going on for a long time, yet with covid 19 this issue has started to get worse. And with how people are spreading around awareness it. Like on tiktok ESPECIALLY ANIME TIKTOK i see that most people are doing performative activism. it is just upsetting to see "omg look at these levi pictures" then seeing you guys put pictures or Asians being beat or worse. Yes i get that you are trying to spread awareness but you are just doing it wrong. Instead of doing those click bait videos actually try and spread facts and ways we can help. And also i don't get why people find the need to show videos and pictures of them getting beat up etc. it can be very triggering to the Asian community. Just imagine seeing someone from your race is getting hate crimed. i don't think you will like that. so please be respectful and think before you post. And by doing this you are making the struggle of Asians as a trend. GROW TF UP and don't "spread awareness" so you can get your brownie points. Some of yall will go lengths to defend your fav anime character but can't do the same for actual Asians. While i am not apart of your community please consider me an ally because that is what you need right now. This is my way of spreading nearness and I will leave a link to a link tree from someone on tiktok that was actually spreading information properly.
