It was an accident

I've never really shown any interest or romantic feelings for someone. So im gonna tell this long ass story about him and how it went i just really wanna let my feelings out. (I liked this kid for 3 years now)

So There's this foreign exchange student who's really really quiet. We could tell that he's struggling with the language barrier but luckily for him, the folks at school are nice and understanding. He was a loner but he had this dignified air of independence in him and was surprisingly funny. I was impressed he adapted quickly and became one of those smart geeky kids.
I observed him like crazy lmao you could say he really did captured my interest.
So i started to befriend him even going as far as forcing myself into his friend group. My friends even teased me for it because his "kind" were considered lonely and 'nerdy' (like hell i'd care lmao im the one making an effort here).
So everyday i'll try coming up with topics and jokes that'll fit his interests and luckily keep him entertained. But the more i got to know him (and it was very hard considering the language barrier) i realized there's more to him and every smile or reactions he makes makes me wanna die. Because even i know that my pursuit of this guy's love will eventually be in vain. 2 yrs later im surprised i still haven't given up yet. False hopes and fantasies are what kept me going and i tried to give him signs but of course he didn't really seem to notice it.
Not until last year I accidentally confessed to him in front of everyone during our reunion.
