Characters with light skin ( idk if I can say that ) are really good, but I really wanna see more dark skinned seme / uke. I mean I don't mind reading a bl where the seme is light skinned and the uke is dark skinned and vice versa, but why not having both characters dark skinned?
+ I think that characters with black eyes and hair are good looking too, and they kinda give that mysterious air about them, so why not having seme AND uke both with those criterioa?
+ we're in 2019, why not trying to have a badass , manly , independent uke? ( like the one in midnight rain ) , and A seme can be vulnerable sometimes. That makes the story more realistic.
I mean It's just my opinion. what's do you think about it? And what you wanna " change " about yaoi ?
i hate it when there are fixed sex roles. its not realistic a realistic couple would take turns, and in fact its hotter than fixed roles. i also really dislike it when the bottom is feminine, girly and does nothing during sex but lie there. and when the top is masculine and emotionally constipated. its too heteronormative.

Maybe not necessarily change, but I really don't like when either A) all the guys are gay, or B) if there are brother's involved that all brother's are gay.

I think some of the cliches can be recycled and new ones can be made like right now... Becuase I'm a little bored with yaoi when I read eight in a row and they all have a similar plots or story line.
Like bro...?
I think a larger variety in the genre would be nice and made different tropes.
