as a french person who sees people using it (and the culture) as an aesthetic i get kinda annoyed (but at least im not fetishized for my fucking language/culture), so i imagine if an asian person sees someone fetishizing the language and by proxy their culture/race i can see why it would be kinda pissy so i would just avoid it unless you speak it? ......
