reading psychological webtoons

I have read some psychological disturbing mangas/cartoons/webtoons/manwhas/comics. Some of them were so disturbing I had to break them up.

What is your intention, when you read that? Some of them haven't even something like a moral or a goal? Sometimes the art is so beautiful and the story so horrible.
You know what webtoons I referring to: killing stalking, obey me, warehouse (that was the only difference for me, because he really felt the sex, it wasn't drawn like a hurtful, disturbing, lifedestroying rape sequence, more like a fantasy) and there are at least three more whose titles I can't remember.

Why is that an uprising trend? Should we be worried? Are fantasies getting so much darker? I for myself have rape fantasies. Dominating, pinned down, forceful, blindfolded, caged, as long as the victim feels "good". I identify mostly as the "victim".

When they're drawn seriously, I can't barely read further. What is your experience?
