where do I start if I want to learn a new language?

I wanna start learning French but idk where to start?? I mean I know my native language and english, but I learned it in school and i can’t afford french teaching classes so I wanna start by myself.

I’m asking multilingual ppl since I’m assuming there’s a lot here in the active forums and maybe learn about different tips

WERE AT THE SAME.BOAT! currently I am learning Japanese! I don't have ANY Japanese lessons at school, but still i have Chinese lessons at school which is quite similar to Japanese.
