Please tell me I need to know...

So in Doctor Elise after Elise is reincarnated again 9 her first body she says to Linden (the first prince) sorry for bothering you blah blah it's obvious you hate me butttttt in a flashback when Elise made him tea and brought for him he was cold and said "When did I say I wanted tea?And I only married you cause Father decided this engagement....."
So I'm super confused if he truly loved her then why so cold?I mean yeah she was bad in the past but when she asked him to forgive her he didn't know she changed but still says he loves her even though rn she still hasn't seen she is not bad anymore and still probably thinks like that about her.
