thats it im brining out the essay
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fkjBauQ25g I took the liberty to visit this little "website" (
https://adflegal.org/equality-act) and all I see is bias discrimination, so here's another one of my amazing essays on it.
"The Equality Act would create unfair playing fields for women and girls in athletics and education."
.
I wonder, who could be creating unfair play? All I see on the field are women. No men. Some may be trans-women, but they are still women.
"The Equality Act would violate the privacy and dignity of women by forcing them to share private spaces with men.
We must protect the privacy and dignity of ALL people"
.
What men? Trans-women are women. You said it yourself, "We must protect the privacy and dignity of ALL people" ALL people. Including trans-women.
"The Equality Act could enshrine abortion in the law.
Pro-life healthcare providers could be forced to participate in abortion and pro-life Americans could be forced to subsidize abortion with their tax dollars!"
.
Abortion is a serious topic. I am still a child and I do not understand much, but I do know that abortion is up to the birther and the birther alone. Under no circumstances should a woman be forced to give birth. If a doctor is pro-life and is SO against their choice, maybe they aren't cut out to work in that field. I won't say much more, as I am, once again and I cannot stress this enough, a child.
"The Equality Act would force people who willingly serve everyone to promote messages and celebrate events that conflict with their beliefs.
We could expect to see more victims like Jack Phillips, Blaine Adamson, and Barronelle Stutzman."
.
Discrimination is going against beliefs? Now, I'm not trying to gatekeep or anything, but are you serious? Maybe if your "religion" or "beliefs" discriminate, maybe it's not the people that are the problem but your faith. Now, it may seem like I'm going too far, but I did my own personal research into Jack Phillips, Blaine Adamson, and Barronelle Stutzman.
-
Jack Phillips - Jack and his wife claim not making an LGBTQ cake was not discrimination nor transphobia/homophobia, they claim "From the beginning, they agreed there were many designs and orders they would not fulfill because of their faith and conscience." Yet later, he says "Among them would be cakes to celebrate Halloween, cakes that had alcohol in them, cakes that would denigrate other people or belittle them, including people that identify as LGBT." How can you lump in being LGBTQ with "denigrating other people or belittling them"? How can a being who you are and belittling someone be in the same faiths? I can respect your beliefs, but even so, if you don't want to belittle people, don't discriminate against them for the people they like. I may be biased right now, but honestly, I don't care. Ridiculous.
-
Blaine Adamson - Blaine's representative in court says "The right to decide which ideas to express is core to human freedom. The Commission violated that freedom by ordering Blaine Adamson to print messages that violate his religious beliefs" This is bullshit. "The Commission violated that freedom by ordering Blaine Adamson to print messages that violate his religious beliefs" Excuse me, but this is gaslighting. I see nowhere that the LGBTQ organization that requested the shirts was by any means ORDERING him to make the shirts. They requested of him to make them. If they were ordering anything, it was the damn shirts for fucks sake. "I will work with any person, no matter who they are, and no matter what their belief systems are. But when I’m presented with a message that conflicts with my faith, that’s just something I cannot print." It's not as if by printing words onto a t-shirt that you are going to SELL anyway is "conflicting your faith" You're contradicting what you said literally words before, "...no matter what their belief systems are." Declining service to someone who wishes for you to merely put words on fabric is ridiculous. "I don’t walk into my business every morning and leave my faith at the door," Sorry, bud. But if you want to run a successful business, you can't discriminate. I know, shocking.
-
Barronelle Stutzman - Not only is this discrimination, but it is literally illegal. The Washington law against discrimination states "The right to be free from discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, citizenship or immigration status, sex, honorably discharged veteran or military status, sexual orientation, or the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a person with a disability is recognized as and declared to be a civil right." this exactly includes "The right to engage in credit transactions without discrimination;" here's the site to read more:
https://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=49.60.030Must I even say more? It's not just about being kind and running a proper business, it's a law. If you want to run a business like this you have to be ready to abide by the very business laws.
"The Equality Act would harm efforts to find loving homes for kids in need.
Faith-based adoption and foster care providers who believe children thrive best in a home with a married mother and father would be forced to close their doors."
.
Time to say my opinion folks, orphanages. should. not. have. a. rule. that. only. mother-father. married. couples. can. adopt. and. foster. You don't see bitlife out here saying "Adoption Rejected. Reason: gay." like bruh. The only "rules" for adoption should be that if you are too old/young or not financially stable in a good environment, you can't adopt/foster. Otherwise, go ham. Like gtfo with that homophobic bs. Don't enforce your beliefs on CHILDREN. Children without family may I fucking add. Your biggest concern should be providing a healthy environment for the child. Not worrying about how the guardians have sex.
"The Equality Act would coerce uniformity of thought and speech on beliefs about marriage, sex, and what it means to be male and female.
No one should face censorship and punishment for speaking the truth or sharing their beliefs."
.
So basically you're saying that my American uncle who eats big macs for a living and likes fishing should be allowed to cuss out a completely normal gay couple on the street who are doing nothing but walking just because he doesn't think LGBTQ should be a thing. Smart. Why don't you just go and say that everyone should be able to kick a dog walking on the street just because they don't like its breed or fur color?
"The Equality Act would enshrine in law an ideology that threatens the rights of parents to raise their children consistent with their beliefs.
Parents are the ones who should decide what’s best for their child—not the government!"
.
Actually, it's up to the child whether they want to abide by their parent's religion and faiths. Of course, parents are allowed to introduce religion, but not force it. If the child comes to disagree with their guardian's religion, they shouldn't be forced to abide by it. I get that it sounds a bit ridiculous, but I'm not talking about some 6 or 7-year-olds, I mean children who can think clearly about what they want to do and what they think is best for them. I also get wanting to have teachers of the same religion in religious schools, and religious pastors, but how's that pdophelia rate? I could be dead wrong about this and seem really stupid rn, but for the most part, I think the government is taking more control over religious schools and churches due to exactly that. Ofc I'm not an official and don't know what they're thinking and don't feel like digging to find out, but that's just my hunch ig.
TLDR bc a lot of you are lazy; Even I, a CHILD, recognized how ridiculous this is. Respect people's gender, respect people's choices, respect people's sexuality, respect people. I was watching a Reddit video when this ad came on, for fucks sake
