Pretty much all of the smutty BL webcomics that are popular are overrated. There are some good ass BL manga with realistic representation that get shit on in the ratings by homophobes and because its not an unrealistic sexual harassment fest most fujoshi don’t care about the manga either.   1 reply

More than half of the answers ain't unpopular, but, in fact, VERY popular. Anyway, I don't understand why queer media always needs to exist as a representation. Some of it is self-fulfillment fantasy for a lot of queer people and that's fine. Not every queer media needs to be an accurate representation of our lives. Why do most authors use traumas and rape-y shit as a plot point and just shrug it off in the following chapters like it never happened? like?? suddenly he was fine after all that shit that happened in his past? was it just a filler? a plot point? Its really annoying that a lot of good bl gets buried under the overated trash that gets really popular for no reason. *cough cough* Jinx, BJ Alex, Love Shuttle, Kiss Me Liar, Yours to Claim , and like hundreds of short mangas, all of these being filled with rape, smut overload and unnecessary toxicity.
