What would you do if a police kick off your door and destroy your things

So if a police kick off your door and destroy your things claiming to be searching for a gun when your not home what would you do .. Can they be sued

If they don't have a warranty then yes, although sometimes they get away w/ it even if they don't.. Esp if you're a poc reply
