A lot of the manga I read play more of a "I don't care if you're a man, I like you" card, so it doesn't really bother me. Sometimes the intricacies of the specific identities of the characters seem overkill, but it is nice when bisexuality or, on a rare occasion, internalized homophobia/compulsory heterosexuality is introduced.
