i love the concept of mermaids— but i think the lack of content is because you can’t really DO much with it. it’s usually just some human x mermaid forbidden romance that ends with the whimsical cool sea creature becoming a boring ol’ human. i wish there was more done with the underwater aspect
i still dig pirate x mermaid tropes tho
