IF YOU LOVE PLOT TWISTS I RECCOMMENT THE POPPY WAR BY R.F. KUANG ITS SO GOOD ITS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER. if you are looking for sad, it has it. if you are looking for trauma, it has LOADS, and some of the best most unexpected plot twists I've ever read.
