AO3 Authors and Manhwagas are the same but one is respected

I'm not sure if it's just me but AO3 authors tend to be really respected to the point where even an ounce of criticism, there will be people that will defend them to the bitter end. On the other hand, a lot of Manhwagas(and even some mangakas) are given a lot of shit and are disregarded majority of the time. Why is that? Because I swear they're the same in my eyes if not AO3 authors are worse but why are they given the upper hand?

Girl bffr ao3 authors are NOT respected. And even if they were, for most of them It's earned in my personal opinion. Ao3 authors can genuinely create some amazing works(especially original works) and I think it's due to ao3 being a nonprofit website and allows people to show their passion for writing.
