Speaking from outside of america. Here colleges and uni means the same thing. So i am studying BDS in a college. It was never my plan tbh. Even tho i am proud of getting into BDS but people's attitude towards dentistry and dentists makes me question my choice. We have to sit in entrance exams for every college and uni.
