Im sorry but does anyone ever cringe when they here this said in a story? Like I think its supposed to be cute or romantic or whatever but idk it just rubs me the wrong way but i dont know how to fully explain why so i was wondering if anyone else felt the same and could explain
Stuff like
“I dont like guys/girls, i just like you”
“I like you because you’re you not because you're a guy/girl”
And other corny ass lines fall into this category btw
nah fr it definitely sets me off, just say “i like you”, no need to verbalize your internalized homophobia lil boy
anyway usually i just ignore it when i see it, because, like someone else said, they have sex literally two panels later reply
