Ngl I question myself this evertime and I think the reason why they choose them young is because of the power imbalance or the want to control. Kids are naive and easily get manipulated while most adults or on a legal age knows more and can't easily be controlled. I will never understand how people classify pedophilia as a mental illness and go as far as to excuse it with that. I agree, but also if you are 20+ don't date 18-19 year olds either. Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's morally acceptable to date people who have vastly different views on life than you.
