Do you think BL's popularity can lead to more LGBTQ+ representation?

Honestly, I see a lot of people saying that BL's popularity is not a good thing, especially those who have never read BL. But am I the only one who thinks that BL becoming more popular is a good thing? It will make the geezers above realize that gay content can be profitable. Heck, even video games have started subtly incorporating gay stuff. In a video games conference in China, there was even a discussion about BL and what is allowed and not allowed in video games.

Honestly, I think it's a good thing. Homosexuality isn't legal in my country but with the popularity of bl media, a lot of people are starting to open up to it. Especially in rural areas, people used to not even know something like homosexuality exists and those who were homosexual used to hide it out of fear of being seen as "weird".
