How to break up?

Pleaseeeee!!! I need help. Basically, I started dating this guy a little less than 2 years now. We started off as friends and then it escalated. I love him but just not in the way he may feel about me. I wanna be friends still, but the spark or whatever you wanna call it (lust?) isn't there. I don't want to hurt his feelings (he is prone to getting sad), but I also don't want to continue lying to him and myself. So, how would one go about breaking up with someone but still wanting them in their life, but just as a friend? ┗( T﹏T )┛

I’ve been in the same situation !! and let me tell you it didn’t end nicely... he asked to still be friends and I said okay thinking MAYBE POSSIBLY we could be friends but... he was way too clingy after (it was like we didn’t even break up) and kinda stalker-ish too. The reason I felt the need to break up was because I didn’t feel that spar...... 1 reply
