Would you just go with it if people kept thinking you were neurodivergent?

I have major social anxiety, procrastinate to a disgusting degree, and find it hard to clean up after myself. People keep thinking I have ADHD and/or autism when I'm actually just a weird neurotypical (I can relate to visible/external ND features but not to how their brains work). If you were/are in my shoes, would you correct people or just let them think you're ND?

I would correct them. Not only because it would create false expectations and the person maybe would try adapting to the supposed neurodivergency in a way that isn't fair to you, but also because it could create false expectations for the person how that ND may look like. If someone would think I'm autistic and would base their behavior around auti...... 1 reply
