honestly if you know gambling is an issue for you the best solution is to not play games with gacha options at all because they are designed to capitalize on people that that's a temptation for. but if you want to try smaller steps-

not sure if this'll help but when i try to pull for a character, i only pull until --
a) i get the character and their gear
b) i lose the 50/50
c) i reach the set amount of pulls i decide to get for that banner/patch
