Getting ghosted
I really don't know if this is really the best place to seek advice lol but anyway,
I had this friend since my senior year in highschool and honestly I considered us to be close. But after graduating and each one of us want to different college and different cities, we stopped meeting . The problem here is I always made sure to text/call her, update her of my life and just like want to talk to her bc i really love talking to her. She on the contrary after starting college her messages became less and less, she often told me she had a problem with her phone which i totally believe her or at least believed her at that time.
Almost before the new year, I managed to find time to go back to my hometown for the holidays, she also was there. We agreed to meet but we couldn't due to our schedules.
The ghosting started after the end of the holidays she stopped answering all my messages, i geng thought she was busy or like something happened to her phone. But after that I started to notice that she still liking posts and reels on Instagram that are newly posted, mind you I was sending her texts for like two months with no answer and stopped after when I realized how pathetic I was.
Anyway it really affected me how she ghosted me for almost three months while being online, and tbh after that I thought our friendship was done and I should just forget her even thou that truly hurts me.
Surprisingly she texted yesterday, nothing special just liked the reels i sent her and texted me "i miss you, pls call me when you have time" ngl when I saw that message I started crying. But I didnt open it nor did I responded bc I am angry at her even though I i don't want to. I want to ask her why she ghosted me for no reason only to be back when i was at my lowest lmao. But at the same time i don't want to seems clingy or prying on her privacy bc i really want to believe she had her reasons for ghosting me.
TL;DR my friend ghosted me for three months only to text me few days ago. Should I respond to her and act like her ghosting me didn't bother me at all??
oooo i dunno, it's hard to read her intention;;; maybe she was tired of being friends and just got lonely later, maybe she was distancing for mental reasons and is trying to fix things now, maybe she got into an accident, maybe her texts really were just broken.... i'd respond but def bring up the ghosting, if you act unbothered it just incentivize......

ask her why she ghosted you say okay and then block her and move on.

if you want the possibility to continue being friends don't just brush off what happened. if you do you'll always have this negative feeling towards her in the back of your mind whether or not she had a good reason and it'll just end up super bitter and toxic. I'd say just casually ask something like "I haven't heard from you for a while did some......

only go back to her if you work out with her why she hurt you and that it is not okay for her to do that. There's a good chance that in college she started dating and had other priorities, and only crawled back to you after she broke up with her lover bc she was lonely. Those types of friends should be cancelled for life.
