I told my plus size "friend" her activism is making shopping exhausting?
Look, i’m a skinny and just wants to grab cute clothes and go but lately, every trip with her turns into a whole thing. she guilt trips me for shopping at stores she’s boycotting, calls me ‘part of the problem’ if i don’t wanna protest with her, and says i ‘don’t get it’ because i can fit into anything. i finally snapped and said ‘maybe if you spent less time yelling at stores and more time at the gym, you wouldn’t need to demand they change for you.’ now she’s crying and our friends are calling me a fatphobic monster.
AITA for being honest, or is she just mad because im right?

i think both of u are the asshole in the situation she shouldn't go shopping w u if she's just gonna be all controlling w ur choices, and u shouldn't have said the more time at the gym part, because sometimes fat people do go to the gym. it just doesn't 'look the part' that's just me being reasonable but if I were in ur shoes, I would've said som...... 1 reply
