People saying that its ok cause its just fiction haven't really thought about the implications of it. Its ok to write about things like incest, rape, abusive relationships, ect, but when an author or creator frames these things in a good or positive light, it normalizes it even if its fiction or not. It’s because it’s a defense mechanism. These type of people almost feel threatened or judged when you call out problematic media so that’s why they will always say “ it’s just fiction” so they can continue to enjoy problematic media without truly thinking about it or the impact it can have 1 reply
