could it be cuz people are used to the top being the dominant one? so the excuse is he's younger but he's the one inserting, so he's still in power. which is dumb af but i've seen many people ignore these kinds of relationships just because the one inserting is perceived to be the one who's not losing anything. which is why there's such a big belie......
