Hey, as someone who was raised Catholic in a predominantly Catholic country: Francisco wasn't progressive. He did good things, sure, but he also said being a homosexual was sin, he spoke against trans people in many occasions, he denounced couples who were child free and he even used a homophobic slur as recently as 2024. Ngl I cried about him dying for a few minutes, even tho I'm not a religious person we might never have a Pope like this ever again during our lifetime, one who is so devoted to Bible teachings and such a good person.   reply
