They always use a descriptor like their hair color instead of just writing a pronoun or their name. And specifically for hair color, half of fictional characters have weird hair colors there are no word for so they just make one up! Do you really think "He walked to the door" sounds worse than "The blue-nette walked out the door"? It doesn't, and i......   2 reply
