I don't believe that you can truly separate art from the artist. For me personally, any form of art(music,film,literature)is a representation of that person, so supporting the art is indirectly feeding into them. And mostly its a matter of morals for me that I would not consume anything from anyone who's done vile things.   reply

If i like something i like it, its exhausting trying to avoid or force myself away from things i enjoyed bc the creators always have to be on some bullshit. Doesnt mean i support them. plus i pirate almost everything anyways, ill just protect my peace man. It depends on what they do. You should also see this as something between yourself and your conscience, without feeling judgement of strangers (the internet is wild, but you can still detach yourself). I loved Melanie's songs, I still listen to them from time to time. But I can't say my enthusiasm didn't drop all of sudden when I heard that. I ev......   reply
