u realize how hypocritical some yaoi fans are when u get into yuri

instead of just not giving an excuse (bc no one is holding a gun to ur head and demanding u answer) they have to make up BS about why they don’t read yuri.

“its for the male gaze.” there are definitely some yuri that appeals to male audiences but not all of them. not some vast majority like u think.

“they’re always toxic/problematic.” there is a new popular BL with rape between the main couple every week. BFFR

fetishizing gay men is not a flex, being unable to de-center men is not something to be proud of, and the internalized misogyny some fujoshi have is NOT hard to spot

i started seriously diving into yuri manga a few a weeks ago and i have discovered absolute peak multiple times. yuri isn’t bad, ur just not giving it the time of day
