You know what, I glaze this manhwa like a donut but I do agree on some level that tiktok is a barren wasteland with zero moderation. There are so many kids being exposed to pornography and while a lot of it is the fault of aggregator sites like this one, I also blame tiktok as a platform for not doing anything to protect the young children there. I have similar feelings about the HUGE amount of kids in the (fictional) gore community. 14 is not the age to be an edgelord pervert or a gorehound. A lot of these discussions about censorship and normalization etc could be wiped out completely if platforms and the communities on them would do the bare minimum of protecting kids lol.
yeah fr. meanwhile people on tik tok have to censor the word vagina while talking about female health, children barely in middle school have access to anything and everything with little to no moderation. i think its also the fault of the parents for not protecting and/or regulating their childrens' access to internet. its one thing to be exploring your sexuality, and another to be publicly condoning sexual abuse and cultivating a mindset romanticizing that sort of behavior.
Ain't that the kicker. It's kind of conflicting because I am in support of this manhwa. Yes, it is degenerate, but it is posted on a website that is incredibly strict about age confirmation, specifically to prevent this content from falling into the hands of kids. The fact that it's "breached containment" so to speak and is being used by menhera-ass teenagers online is so cringe and alarming. I am totally in support of young people having spaces online but figuring out your sexuality using pornography online is a recipe for disaster. It irritates me that people are just casually complicit in it. There are so many little kids on bltwt and adults never try to warn them to be careful because they don't want to be accused of meddling in a kid's business. But I just can't agree at all with that mindset lol.
i also think there's a difference between being mature enough to distinguish a sort of shitty fictional enjoyment from projecting what you consume onto your mindset/interactions/behavior. i have strong morals and in no way would i ever condone like 90% of the relationships i see portrayed on here, even the seemingly innocuous ones, but im old and mature enough to understand what it means to mindlessly enjoy something for the sake of deriving pleasure or entertainment without considering it to be a model for sexual relations, relationships, or reality. i can criticize the literary standard and perpetuation of misogyny, repackaged homosexuality into something more palatable for straight audiences, while still recognizing that you can read something sort of brainless and find personal enjoyment in it without actively condoning or idolizing what you've just consumed. i think the issue with these kids is that they aren't able to do that, and when people try to call them out they refuse to back down bc of kid ego and immaturity. they shouldn't be reading this kind of stuff in the first place, and they shouldn't be in adult spaces permeated with pornography. where are their parents, seriously?

So many people on this thread (not specifically this comment) are understandably upset with the conduct and speech of these minors without contextualizing the fact that they are, again, minors. It doesn't excuse their porn-addiction-fueled, rotted brains, but it should be said that they likely do not know any better. Not to mention, algorithm-based platforms ESPECIALLY tiktok are infamous for being responsible in inadvertently creating echo chambers that can wildly radicalize groups of smaller sub-cultures or demographics. All you can do for situations like these is to be patient and educate them where you can, otherwise just wait for them to mature and eventually (hopefully) develop past their porn addiction.
