trans women are seen as having spiritual powers and are kinda "worshipped". like when there's a wedding or a baby is born, people invite trans women to give their blessings (and also dance for some reason?), they are also given money. It all started during the World war II basically the people from my country blame the manananggal when a pregnant woman die or the fetus die when its actually all just a cover up from what the Japanese soldiers do they basically used the term "Manananggal" to hide the fact that they(The soldiers) are the one killing the pregnant women and the fetus 1 reply
