What are text messages with your parents like?

In my case.. Ieht my mom, We rarely chat. most of topic is me receiving money.. hahaha.. seldom. we do have long calls and let my mom vent all her frustrations. With my father, much more rare since we have a rocky relationship. but he do talk about me must get in shape, yeah.. like do this diet and that... and study, study, study   reply

It's something like: Mom and Dad: Hey! I love you! How's the pets! Call me when you're not busy! Me: Sorry, I've been working and sleeping, busy week, love you too. Call back when I can.   1 reply

my dad usually replies to everything text him with kiss emoji spam (without actually answering with words) , which i find funny my mom prefers to call me, oyher than that our texts are usually about uer asking if i paid rent or done payments, she tries to text me in our native language so that i dont forget how to read or write it   1 reply

my mom usually sends me facebook recipes and checks up on me and my dad forgets he can take the initiative to communicate with me   reply

mostly reminders (to do chores etc) + they send occasional threatening¿ fb articles abt why i shouldn't sleep late, eat this or that LMFAO we don't even reply to eo when I see that they've read it, i take it as an ok and vice versa   reply

most of the time it's just me complaining to my mom or asking for cooking advice & I don't msg my dad unless it's important lol   reply
