My teams research abt CSA has been done and approved and will be turned into a research book yay

Good news! I won't talk too much info in what we found but one of the factors we found out on why this keeps happening is mainly the government not funding enough for school buildings, in our research it's been shown that the government spends more on tourist shit than schools. Also on how The Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines (Presidential Decree 1083) allows Muslim men to marry girls as young as 15 years old, or even younger if they have begun menstruation. It kinda overrides Republic Act No. 11596, signed in 2021, child marriage is prohibited and considered a criminal offense. Other reasons there being patriarchy, poor communities in general whereas they have short lifespan. (45-60)

So yeah while there's a law that prevents CSA from happening, there's a loophole to override it. Enforcement is weak. Many cases go unreported, and even when they’re reported, abusers often aren't punished, especially if they’re powerful or respected in their community. The cases btw that unreported, that we only found out through travel and shit was 20 cases. The info we found from police which is about 17 (obv it's for a research we get a pass as also our uni is high ranked)
