this shit was SO SO SO GOOD, I was obsessed with their nasty lil dynamic. But the ending was wayyyy too rushed, I felt. Maybe like 10 more chapters could have had it be totally perfect I think. Felt like they screeched the brakes for no reason.   reply

I am ready for Penelope fans to eat my ass for this one. But the moment slavery became a part of the narrative and the narrative justified Penelope buying a slave, I just couldn't take it seriously anymore. hyacinth was such a gem and still is. I normally give stories some time to settle after authors show us how they want to be received. so it’s just more heartbreaking when you can tell the author wants to be taken seriously and falls flat. the only good part was the first season and the rest was a recycled paper mache of manhua cliche slop   reply
