Why do you have to help him? Let me ask you, exactly what are you going to do? In the minute chance you've sent someone to rehab and they recover, is it going to do something in the long run? Theres a complete lack of empathy with a lot of people, u can be careful and safe and still be considerate and help others "You cant save everyone" is something you say when youve failed to or cant help, not when possibly saving someone can be as simple as a phone call :(   1 reply

That's true I hate the bystander effect, that's why you have to be FIRST to do things. Though must I say, you should also be careful when helping homeless people. You mentioned drug addict and they could potentially harm you, still that's nice enough of you to want to help. I think it’s really admirable you wanted to help him!
