Wait like at least 10 years and then think about it again. When I was 20 and younger, I thought life was too long and was convinced that I mustn't live past 18 because it'll only be a life of suffering. Even if the action is considered "good" or "bad", it's always in your own self-interest, since you're the one who decided on that answer yourself. So, being selfish isn't that bad. most people in this sort of state dont want to die, they just want the pain and suffering that their experiencing to end & they see death as their only escape. you might think that ending your life ends your pain, but truthfully, it ends EVERYTHING - and it robs you of the chance to see things in your life get better.   reply

No. Never will be. You will never owe anyone your life, but you do owe yourself to a good one. Suicide is a mental health issue, you’re not killing yourself for the hell of it. Selfish people are the ones who are suicidal and take innocent people with them.   reply

I do think suicide is selfish (according to the definition). You don't take in consideration for the people that will miss you (even if you think there aren't anyone that will miss you, trust me there ARE) and the people who will have to clean up the body. Lowkey, I feel it depends on the reason. Also of you plan on something like this- bare ot upon a therapist- nit internet strangers because then it just spreads more grief, and that is selfish.   reply

Sure, it can be selfish from a literal definition. I also think an argument could be made that it's selfish against yourself. Selfish--:: (of a person, action, or motive) lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure.
