I still remember the same hiei x kurama doujin which was my gateway to bl like 7 years ago, so I’m guessing in a few years I’ll still remember some of my faves. That's normal. I mean, in the grand scheme of things: Remembering a comic title after such a long time, when you have a life to live, is not really relevant for your memory to hold onto. Hence you forget.
It's probably different for each person, but I for one don't even bother TRYING to memorize.
