Without putting religion onto it. Cause I swear this person insist that straight people can have forbidden romance, they gave me workplace... Like girl do you live in your work company?? They act like they can't quit the job or work in another company too then ethnicities?? At what country is it illegal to marry someone out of your race. NONE. They said it was illegal but I just search and the last time it was illegal was Hitler era

Another thing is they said, parents... Which bffr they just don't like your s/o but it ain't forbidden. Cause all of this jusf seems really complicated and a hindrance but it's still gonna be successful at the end of the day

If you're talking about in stories, I can think of some if we're relying on fantasy or historical, especially when focusing on the world-building like status, race, and power dynamics. Probably something like class differences or opposing factions. Honestly, if you want straight forbidden romance, you've gotta mostly look through the historical genres (especially those closer to history than something like otome isekai historical) since societal norms were much harsher (though it also depends on the region you're looking at) comp...... reply

forbidden love in hetero romance? I could only think of adultery, incest and age gap that involves a minor. But these also apply to same-sex not only to straight people so idk what is something truly forbidden or illegal that could ONLY apply to straight people that does not involve religion 1 reply
