Elementery school. I asked about his kirby shirt and told him I also liked kirby. We weren't close friends then but that's when we first met. We started talking a lot together in middle school. Then he became my best friend in high school when we shared the bus together.
I guess I can say that proximity is a good way to start? Just start talking ......
