My reasons why he is my favorite:
He lost his nose in a duel. It wasn’t over a lady but they had a disagreement about a math problem. He wore a copper prosthetic nose for the rest of his life.
He kept a pet moose who would get drunk at his parties one time he got so drunk he fell down the stairs and died ......
