Do yall just read repetitive trope and predictable stories or only complex mind blowingly good stuff

I have no in between. I read repetitive tropes even if everything is predictable and mediocre and so wattpad fan-fiction like

And i read stories that are so well written and beautiful and complex that it makes my heart twingeee.

Im curious to know what yall read?

Both but im leaning more to simple repetitive tropes I started reading manga as a palate cleanser for complex books and anime and it became a habit, I kinda always prefer just simple romance or chill slice of life reply
