Have a crush on their cousin? I've had a crush on my oldest cousin since I was a small child. When I first told my mom, she was so disgusted that she beat me for hours. But now, she supports me and says that if I were to marry him she would convince our other family members for me. So, I was just wondering if anyone else has any similar experiences to mine?

No, I dislike most of my extended family. BUT, one time at a family get together when I was younger my cousin came to say hi to me and my mom. Um, I would say it’s not uncommon for young kids to feel that way and grow out of it… but it’s not normal that this crush has persisted, especially if you’re a teenager at the youngest. It’s 100% not okay that your mom beat you because of it though. Your mom supporting you and being willing to back you up may sound nice, but it’s not ok...... reply
