Is anyone getting... tired of BL?
Like, I'll open a title, and be like, ok yeah I can tell what's going to happen for the next two hundred chapters and then I'll just shut it and move on.
Even the "good" ones that everyone swear by. It's the same thing over and over again, and there's no attempt to like even be slightly different. Or, if there is... it's such a cheap attempt that it basically doesn't count. And like people come to me talking about how good said BL is, but when I read it, I can actively list every single one that I have read that is similar in some way shape or form.
The last original BL that I actually liked was Ooe and that's not even a manga, but a visual novel.
And the last time a fictional malexmale couple genuinely interest me was Phainon and Mydei from a game... that isn't about gay people.
Like how is HSR is making me kick my legs, but the yaoi I read for yaoi purposes doesn't?
I'm not asking for suggestions. I have stuff to read, it's just I'm realizing that none of it is actual manga, but either ao3 or visual novels.
Genuinely, probably just stop reading BL for a while, and only come back if you naturally feel like u want to come back to it (if you ever do) basically, dont force it.
This happens to a lot of people with all kinds of genres
Now from experience, this kind of thing happens to me A LOTT
which is why i have multiple hobbies and tastes, both at once ......
