I don't know how an actual irl love potion works because I'm not a witch and I don't know really anyone who is but when I think of love potions I think of the stupid-looking pink liquid bottles that makes someone fall in love with the first person they see or some shit.
To be realistically speaking, love potions in reality would be more of a drug than an actual love potion. Think of an aphrodisiac it effects goes on with jumping on anyone to get sexually relieved so maybe it's similar to that. reply
