If I wanna support an author, I will do it directly by giving some money to their patrion or wtvr, but even if I had a job, I am not spending 10x the normal amount of a book for coins to read legally online. It’s just not worth it and most stories these days are mid.   1 reply

I don't think I need to state my job LOL ANW some stories are just not worth ur penny. I used to spend my money for coins on lezhin, ridi and tapas but It's just that I can spend my money on something more useful. It's pure choice. "if u have job why don't u pay and read online" bcs first, it is not a necessity. Second, not all jobs are high paying ( minimum wages ? Yea there's barely anything left after groceries rent and electricity/water/gas bills). Third, it's stupid to spend them on coins for the access of just 1 chapter? For starters, my job is not stable income at all. I do buy certain stories legally but the exchange rate for my currency includes a 60% tax (thanks new president ig) so specially w sites like leshin is rlly unsustainable. Buying a $1⁹⁹ usd pack is around $6k ( T﹏T ) I also used to buy everything thats on Tªpas before, like i would found out......   1 reply

i make shit tons. i don't believe in the concept of subscription, nor do i like owning physical copies of anything. not to mention the quality of work is ass anyway. piracy easily solves these two issues for me   reply

I work in customer service, I just don't get paid enough to support financially. If it's free to read I will find it and scroll though it to bring up the views Tbh this is literally the only thing I can "afford" so that I can enjoy life aside from literally going to a free park to "touch grass"   reply

If a manga was actually good I would support the author but I’m not paying $1 per chapter just to find out something is MID asf esp since they only have 1 chapter preview $1 seems cheap but when you read lots of manga/hwa and there’s a lot of chapters those can easily rack up. That said, I actually have bought chapters before for manga digita......   1 reply
